Launched in April 1964 at the New York World's Fair, the Ford Mustang has since carved out a place for itself in automotive legend. The car that began its career atop the Empire State Building continues to sit atop the class. It remains one of the best-selling cars in history and America's best-selling sports car.

A design that never gets old
If there's one thing the Ford Mustang stands out for, its unmistakable design. Its prominent front end features a large central grille that blends perfectly with clusters of sharp lights mounted in the corners. The body is muscular, especially at the rear, which is noticeably wide.
The Ford Mustang is 4,784 mm long, 1,381 mm high, 1,916 mm wide and has a 408-litre trunk. This makes it one of the widest cars on the market, which reinforces the "muscular" appearance of its body. The brand's designers have managed to update the model's design without spoiling it with time: it still is, and above all, still looks like a Ford Mustang.
The rear lights, flashing in sync, also make it possible to distinguish the Mustang in all conditions, even from behind.
Power
Three different engines power the Ford Mustang: a four-cylinder, the 310-horsepower 2.3 EcoBoost, which is very powerful and energetic, and a superb 460-horsepower naturally-aspirated 5.0 V8 for the Mustang GT and 480-horsepower for the Mach 1 variant, one of the best engines available today.
The choice can also be extended to the High-Performance version, available on the EcoBoost engine. In addition to adding 20 horsepower, it offers even more efficient driving capabilities, including the insertion of upgraded Brembo front brakes and a performance-tuned chassis. Other features, including sports tires, are also included.
Regardless of which engine you choose, you can opt for either a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. In both cases, the transmission is through the rear wheels, which is another of the great attributes of the Ford Mustang.
Interior of the Ford Mustang
The interior of the Ford Mustang has a unique design that displays curved lines and a profusion of buttons and switches. The nostalgic or the more discerning will detect in this layout a reminder of the Mustang's dashboards in the 60s and 70s.
Technology, however, is one of the Mustang's new qualities, with a central touchscreen, a SYNC infotainment system with advanced voice commands, and switches to adjust many driving elements. You can even change the exhaust note to make it quieter, just to keep you in the good graces of the neighbourhood.
Safety has not been forgotten either, as the Co-Pilot360 driver assistance package is standard on all sports car versions.
The Ford Mustang is also available with a convertible body, installing a power top that replaces the hardtop. This transforms the Mustang into a beautiful four-seat convertible in seconds, further enhancing the driving experience.
